A Virginia Medical Cannabis Certificate allows the purchase of Medical Cannabis at approved cannabis dispensaries located across the state.

A Medical Cannabis Evaluation is quick and simple. It can be conducted by Telehealth or In-Person.  No referral is needed.

What happens at the appointment?

The state of Virginia requires a Photo ID and Proof of Age and Residency.

This can be a valid Virginia Driver's License, or a DMV-issued Virginia ID.

A Professional Nurse Practitioner will obtain and evaluate your medical history and decide if you qualify for a Medical Cannabis Certificate in Virginia. If you do qualify, a signed certificate will be issued at the time of the appointment.

Starting July 1, 2022

In Virginia, a Medical Cannabis Card issued from the state of Virginia is no longer required. All you need is a certificate from health care professional licensed for cannabis, such as Clinic420

At the time of the appointment, please have ready your photo ID & proof of residency (drivers license or DMV-issued photo ID), your medical history, and your current medication list.

If you are not purchasing a Medical Cannabis Certificate, a basic history will be obtained at the appointment.

Your first step is an evaluation by a state licensed cannabis provider such as the Nurse Practitioners at Clinic420. If you qualify, they will issue a Virginia Medical Cannabis Certification  at the appointment.

An updated dispensary list will be given to you at the time of the appointment.
