A Virginia Medical Cannabis Card allows for purchase of Medical Cannabis at approved cannabis dispensaries located across the state.
A Medical Cannabis Evaluation is quick and simple. It can be conducted by Telehealth or In-Person and takes about 30 minutes.
No referral is needed.
The state of Virginia requires a Photo ID and Proof of Age and Residency.
This can be a valid Virginia Driver's License, or a DMV-issued Virginia ID, or a valid Passport.
A Professional Nurse Practitioner will obtain and evaluate your medical history and decide if you qualify for a Medical Cannabis Card. If you do, a signed certificate will be issued at the time of the appointment.
Submit the signed Medical Cannabis Certificate to the Virginia Board of Pharmacy, and pay their fee ($25 or $50). Cards are valid for 1 year.

A photo ID and proof of residency (per Virginia state regulation for telehealth). If you are not purchasing a Medical Cannabis Card Certificate, a basic history will be obtained at the appointment.
Once you are issued a medical cannabis certification from a licensed healthcare provider, you must register for the Medical Cannabis Card with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy who will then send you the official card. Clinic420 will walk you through this process.

Only Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Physician Assistants who hold a valid Medical Cannabis License issued by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy can evaluate for and sign a Virginia Medical Cannabis Certification.
